From a very young age Jim has had a passion for performing and singing in close harmony. Jim began his professional career in regional musical theatre productions and opera in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where he studied voice at Bellarmine University.
Film soundtrack credits include: Frozen, Wreck-it Ralph, Godzilla, Oblivion, Despicable Me 2, The Rite, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, National Treasure 2, 2012, This is the End and The Haunted Mansion.
TV credits include The Simpsons ("The B Sharps"), The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, That '70s Show, Home Improvement, The View, The Carson Daly Show, Gilmore Girls, Ned & Stacey, Blossom and numerous Disney TV specials.
Musical theater credits include Curly in Oklahoma!, Kenickie in Grease, Action in West Side Story and the barbershop quartet in The Music Man. Jim can also be heard singing on the soundtrack to The Mystery Mine attraction at Dollywood in Tennessee.
Jim has sung with the Dapper Dans of Disneyland for over 20 years.  He is the bass of The Perfect Gentlemen quartet, having won the National A Capella Championship with them in 2002, recording several albums and performing on numerous tours and cruise lines.
As a choral singer Jim has sung in concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony Pops, Santa Barbara Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and The Louisville Orchestra. Jim has also sung with the Los Angeles Chamber Singers, Pacific Chorale, Angeles Chorale and The LA Choral Artists. He is bass soloist/section leader for Canterbury Choir at All Saints Church Pasadena.
Jim's barbershop background includes the Louisville Thoroughbreds and numerous competition quartets both in the Cardinal and Far Western Districts. Jim grew up around his mother's Sweet Adeline’s activities and learned to sing harmony by singing along with recordings of men’s and women’s quartets as a boy. He coaches quartets and choruses and does barbershop arranging.
Jim also spent 8 years in the U. S. Army Reserves as a sergeant doing flight operations for a helicopter ambulance unit.  Jim's other interests include yoga, golf, tennis, Scrabble, crosswords, movies, space exploration and vintage sheet music. Jim resides in Yorba Linda, California.
